A Simple to Do List for a Better, Healthier and Happier Lifestyle

Here is my list of things to do, in order for you to have a for a healthier, better and happier lifestyle.

Try to meditate same time everyday, establishing a schedule helps in making it a habit.

Write how you feel before and after meditation in a diary.

Write what your favourite meditation technique in your meditation diary/journal.

Let thoughts come, pay no heed and they will pass.

Don’t fight your thoughts, you cannot stop them however you can ignore them and take your conscious away from thoughts.

Dance followed by meditation feels awesome.

Exercise followed by meditation is twice the benefit and definitely more fun.

Painting is meditation.

Singing to yourself is meditation.

Meditate whenever, wherever you can.

Do affirmations in meditation, they are 100 times more powerful in that state.

Try chanting.

Write love letters to your girlfriend/boyfriend after meditating – you will be amazed at your power of expression.

Do a group meditation with your friends.

Write, Write, Write… poetry, articles.

Draw doodles or paint (if you can).

Bake a cake and share it with your neighbours.

Take it (meditation) easy.

Bake a tray of cookies for your friends.

Donate your old clothes if you haven’t used them since year.

Grow Flowers.

Don’t drink alcohol for a week.

Buy gifts for your friend on no special day. They will love you.

Blog your meditation experience.

Spend an afternoon decluttering a room in your home.

Meditate on inspiring thoughts.

Make a music band – they will never know they are meditating when they are making music.

Spend time every day doing yoga.

Clean a corner in your room – just empty it and place some cushions – your minimalist meditation corner.

Watch an inspiring movie.

Grow fruits/vegetables.

Visualise your goals/dreams in meditation and see them all come true.

Pet your cat, dog… whatever you have.

Memorise excerpts from Lotus Sutra or Heart Sutra and chant/sing.

Try Mathematics; if you can’t solve it laugh at it!

Go on a picnic with friends.

Go on picnic alone – it’s not lame … it’s called soul searching.

That reminds me – Soul Searching.

Try a variety of yoga styles to see what you like most.

Imagine – one place you can do anything, be anything and have anything.

Learn a foreign language.

Write every day in a journal.

Text your family and tell them you love them.

Write a note of appreciation for everyone around you.

Do a number of the above things over the next few weeks and months, and I assure you, that you will end up with a healthier and happier lifestyle. Best of luck!
